In a Read it before you can buy it measure, I’ve decided to post a few snippets from the companion book to the Misfit McCabe series I have been working on. The title of the eventual book is Diary of a Misfit and will be available in ebook only (or at least that’s the plan for now).
Courting an Agent
When I made the decision to seek agent representation for some of my work, I started to do the necessary homework. Looking up agencies who handled the types of stories I have in the works, reading about various agents based on interviews, keeping my ear to the ground to hear the scuttlebutt on Twitter, listening to agents in various chats, online forums, looking them up in the various platforms designed to assist the struggling writer in making their selections, etc.

****Drumroll Please**** I’m very pleased to announce that Tattered, the third book in the award-winning Misfit McCabe series, will be free through Amazon.com for Kindle Thursday, August 23rd and Friday, August 24th. Nowhere Feels Like Home Book Trailer
I seem to be on a trend of book trailers at the moment, never mind I started this one two years ago and have finally finished it. This video shows some of the characters in the second book in the Misfit McCabe series.
New Misfit McCabe Book Trailer
I’ve been making several changes to my primary website and in the process added the Misfit McCabe book trailer to the front page of the site. Now this is a trailer that I made several years ago, then revised when I changed the cover of the book, but at the time of the revision, left the “old” color and font scheme, meaning to change it when I had a little more time. (Yeah, right!) And that time would be now. I have once again revised the Misfit McCabe book trailer. I hope you enjoy.
Parents Who Host, Lose The Most
‘Tis the Season… for Graduation parties, summer get-togethers, relaxing camping weekends, and more. During these celebratory and relaxing times, we may also relax our guard a bit. It’s normal. We don’t want to always be the one saying “No.”
Facebook Bully Gets Choked
Facebook remains in the news this week, only this time the feature story wasn’t the IPO debacle. Instead while at a mall a Florida mother, Debbie Piscitella, was arrested after choking a fourteen-year-old boy who had allegedly been terrorizing her daughter on Facebook.
Misfit McCabe Series Sweetheart Deal
February is known for being the month for sweethearts… and while I’m not the majorly romantic type (I leave that to my characters) I found myself thinking about what sweethearts my readers are and wanted to do something to celebrate them.
Dies Irae Blog Tour: Embracing the Shadow
I’m excited to host Christine Fonseca today on her tour for the release of her novella Dies Irae. I remember having dinner with Christine a while back and we talked about some of our projects. And when she spoke about the story, both Dies Irae and her upcoming book Lacrimosa, which are a part of her Requiem Series, her face lit up.
Author Spotlight: PJ Cowan
I woke up in a somewhat reflective mood this morning and as my mind rambled through various reflections, I stopped when I came to one of the authors I have known for a few years, PJ Cowan.
Spruce Knoll Endangered Species Tour
Some of you may recall the Tour of Secrets in August to celebrate the launch of Heather McCorkle’s novel, The Secret of Spruce Knoll, well, she’s at it again.
Lost In The Crowd…But Not For Long
Those who know me mostly see the upbeat, almost to the point of perky, side of me. I’m everybody’s cheerleader in a business which is rife with rejection and disappointment — at ALL levels.
