It’s been a few days since I posted one of my thoughts from the morning commute. Part of the reason is that I took a few days off and wasn’t going to work. I was barricaded at home behind my computer screen madly editing away on Nowhere Feels Like Home. Since being back to work, my morning thoughts have primarily … Read More
Nowhere Feels Like Home – Tentative Chapter List
Last night, or rather early this morning, I went through and did a tentative chapter naming for Nowhere Feels Like Home.
Dancing on Top of the World
I’m doing a happy dance because I have officially completed the editing process (phase I) for Nowhere Feels Like Home! Whoo Hooo!! People, I think we might actually have a book on the way. The phase I editing process is always the worst (unless of course I happen to be in phase II, III, or IV of the editing process … Read More
Day 2 of Good Progress
It is extremely satisfying to note that I had a second day in a row of good progress on editing my novel, Nowhere Feels Like Home. With the starts and stops that I have been experiencing, and inability to focus on getting the job done, prior to yesterday, I began to despair (just a teeny tiny bit). I should really … Read More
A Good Progress Day
I have been struggling a little bit with the editing process, feeling like I was going too slow and not accomplishing very much each day. Of course, there have been all sorts of interruptions to the process, which doesn’t help. I don’t like setting goals and not meeting them however, so have not been pleased with my progress. Part of … Read More
Celebration Dance
I think I can finally come down from the clouds now. I finished writing the sequel to Misfit McCabe late Monday night, and inside have been dancing on table tops ever since. It is a fantastic feeling when you put that final period of a manuscript on the page.
The Writing Super Puppy Bowl
Well, Super Bowl Sunday has come and gone once again. Two teams hit the field, and the battle wages for the next 3 hours or better, and at the end a team is named champion. What I didn’t understand is that although my plan didn’t actually involve watching the game this year, that I too would be waging a battle, … Read More
Gearing up for the weekend
I’m still busy working on the sequel. I have not made as much progress the past couple days as I would have liked to, but every once in awhile you have to take a little break and recharge your imagination batteries. Mine have been working on overtime so, I really needed to slow down a bit. But with the weekend … Read More
Emotionally Drained
Friday on my way home from work, I was very excited because I had the weekend in front of me and I didn’t have any outside obligations, so I had a clear space in which to work on the sequel to Misfit McCabe. Now it is Sunday evening and I’m getting ready to call it a night. How did I … Read More
Possibly a Writer’s Best Friend
While I was working on the sequel to Misfit McCabe yesterday, I decided that the mp3 player and a pair of headphones may quite possibly be the writer’s best friend. Pop the headphones in, turn the music on and let the story flow. The music helps to cut down on the interruption factor. So, when Denny starts to read me … Read More
Message from a Reader
It is so nice to get a message from a reader who enjoyed your writing, especially when you weren’t expecting it. As a writer, you spend so much time writing the book, and all of your tender care has gone into the writing itself, and then things like picking a cover and trying to drum up some attention for it. … Read More
Forum woes resolved
I was able to figure out the problems with Guest access to the poll and at the same time resolved the issue I had with the first poll going inactive. All in all a good days work, I would say. So, the polls are now open for everyone. Go to Griffie World and view the book trailers, and then to … Read More
